Liz Kane Literacy

Facilitators: Liz Kane, Adrienne Kinder and Kirsty Tatere

Liz Kane Literacy is dedicated to bridging the gap between evidence-based research and the teaching of reading, spelling and writing. With training that aligns with the science of reading, teachers can understand and teach the English alphabetic code for both reading and writing through a Structured Literacy approach with confidence and success.

Liz’s knowledge of Structured Literacy and The Science of Reading enabled her to create The Code; a highly-sought after resource designed to guide New Zealand teachers through the process of implementing an explicit and systematic approach to teach spelling.

Liz and Adrienne work with schools to develop and sustain a school-wide Structured Literacy approach by developing teacher knowledge and pedagogy to raise literacy outcomes for all students.
